He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of London and later studied at the London Business School.

A Stalwart in Business

Cyrus Mistry joined the family construction company Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd as a director in 1991. Cyrus Mistry was appointed as the Chairman of Tata Sons in mid-2012. He was the sixth chairperson and the second person not to bear the Tata surname. However, in October 2016, the board voted to remove him from the chairmanship.
